Harrison Tulip Festival Returns with New Experiences, Immersive Photo Moments & Special Events
Canada’s largest tulip festival blooms in April

Agassiz, BC (March 12, 2026): Spring is in the air, which means millions of enchanting blooms will soon beckon in the fields not far from Metro Vancouver. Presented by the Onos family — the growers behind BC’s original tulip festival — the Harrison Tulip Festival is set to return this April. The exact opening date is based on bloom conditions, so expect an official opening announcement in the coming weeks.

Boasting 150 varieties of tulips planted across 45 acres, the Harrison Tulip Festival is the largest event of its kind in Canada. Throughout its approximately four-week run, guests can roam amidst the dazzling rows filled with colourful flowers. More than 14 million spring blooms — including vibrant tulips, cheerful daffodils and fragrant hyacinths — will create a breathtaking, photo-ready landscape. The festival’s striking scenery earned global recognition when it was named the World’s Best Instagrammable Tulip Farm at the 2024 World Tulip Summit in Holland.

A standout feature of the Harrison Tulip Festival is the stunning four-acre show garden, a thoughtfully designed display where tulips bloom at varying heights and in striking varieties, including multi-flowering, parrots, doubles, fringed and Viridiflora. Beyond the fields and show garden, the festival offers plenty of ways to linger and enjoy spring on the farm, from food trucks and live music to sunrise and sunset yoga sessions, bouquet-making workshops, yard games, the farm store and endless photo opportunities among the blooms.

This spring marks a major milestone: the Onos family is celebrating their 20th tulip festival in BC!

They first launched BC’s original tulip festival in Agassiz in 2006, later operating in Chilliwack beginning in 2017. In 2024, the festival returned to its roots in Agassiz as the Harrison Tulip Festival. Now, two decades on, the celebration is marking the milestone in full bloom, with exciting new programming and fresh experiences designed to make this anniversary year their biggest and most memorable yet.

The Night Garden
The magic of the Harrison Tulip Festival will extend after sunset this year with the debut of the Night Garden, a new evening experience set within the festival’s beautifully illuminated four-acre show garden.

Taking place on five select evenings — April 16, 17, 18, 24, and 25 from 6 to 10 pm, the Night Garden invites guests to experience the tulips in an entirely new way. As dusk falls, the show garden transforms into a glowing landscape of lanterns, twinkling lights, and vibrant colour, creating a magical nighttime atmosphere perfect for strolling and capturing unforgettable photos.

Tickets are $35 per person and include regular admission starting at 4 pm, allowing visitors to explore the main fields until sunset (7:30 pm) and then stay for the evening experience. Guests can enjoy live music, three food trucks including Dutch street food, and a curated evening market featuring local farmers, bakers, a cidery, a brewery, artisans, and more. Special lighting installations and glowing photo moments — including an illuminated swing set — will guide visitors through the show garden. The Bloom Bar
Another new addition this year is The Bloom Bar — a self-serve flower area where people can make their own bouquets and flower crowns. Set up in a covered area, guests can get creative with the blooms and greenery, and use the arts station to paint wooden postcards and coasters. The Bloom Bar will be open Thursday to Monday, including during the Night Garden.

Shuttle service from Lougheed Station
To help make getting to the Harrison Tulip Festival easier, a new shuttle service has been established from Lougheed Station to the fields. Tickets are $39 per person round trip and include festival entrance. The shuttle will run on select dates, starting with trips on Wednesday, April 15, Sunday, April 19, and Sunday, April 26, with varying departure times. Guests booked with the shuttle will have 1.5 hours onsite before boarding the shuttle back to Lougheed. More shuttles will be scheduled based on demand, so stay tuned.
