Over 20 Varieties in Full Bloom Await Visitors at Richmond’s Seasonal Outdoor Celebration

 The Richmond Sunflower Festival is now open for the season, welcoming visitors to experience acres of blooming sunflowers at their peak. Featuring over 20 sunflower varieties, from towering giants to ornamental favourites, the festival offers a vibrant and joyful outdoor experience for all ages, running until mid-September.

Guests can stroll through expansive walking paths designed for easy exploration, discover charming photo spots throughout the fields, and enjoy the scenery without the crowds. Beyond the blooms, the festival showcases a curated selection of local food trucks and vendors offering cold drinks, sweet treats, and picnic-ready meals.

Location: 12900 Steveston Highway, Richmond, BC (just off Highway 99 near the Highway 17A junction)

Dates: Open now until mid-September

Hours:

Weekdays: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM (last entry at 7:00 PM)

Weekends & Holidays: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (last entry at 7:00 PM)

Last wagon ride departs before dusk

Admission:

Weekdays: Children (3–12) & Seniors $12 + GST; General (13+) $14 + GST; Children 2 & under free. Weekends & Holidays: Children (3–12) & Seniors $15 + GST; General (13+) $17 + GST; Children 2 & under free. Tickets available on-site only; cash, debit, and credit accepted

Visitor Tips:

Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, as paths are grassy and uneven in some areas. Guests should bring sunscreen, hats, and refillable water bottles, as well as cameras to capture the many picturesque moments. Leashed, well-behaved pets are welcome.
